PROMAC-S is a compact barrel wear measurement device for inner bore inspection of extruder barrels. It uses inside laser equipment and a 360° rotating laser sensor to measure wear, diameter changes, and surface condition.

With ±0.01 mm accuracy, 40–100 mm measuring range, adjustable automatic movement, and automated reporting, PROMAC-S helps users evaluate barrel condition quickly and plan maintenance based on reliable data.

Description

Preventive Laser Inspection For Extruder Barrels

PROMAC-S is designed for preventive inner bore inspection of extruder barrels during routine maintenance. It uses inside laser equipment and a 360° rotating laser sensor to measure barrel wear, diameter changes, and inner surface condition without complicated dismantling work. The barrel only needs to be clean, smooth, and below 50°C before inspection.


During measurement, PROMAC-S moves automatically inside the barrel at adjustable speed and collects circumferential data from 360° measuring points. With ±0.01 mm accuracy and 3–5 mm axial measurement resolution, it helps locate the maximum diameter area, identify wear distribution, and evaluate the actual condition of the barrel.


The system can complete measurement within 30 minutes and generate automated reports through dedicated software. This helps factories make maintenance decisions based on reliable data, reduce unexpected downtime, and maintain stable extrusion quality.
